Project steps: Idea, Look, Space, Preparation, For the client
A project has one row of five steps. A step opens as a page with the cards of its tools: each card has one state and one button. A tool opens as a page of its own with a «Back to the step» button.

How to use it
- Open a project. Under the name there is one row «Overview · Idea · Look · Space · Preparation · For the client». Click a step and its page opens. A step has an icon on its left: a check mark («done»), a circle with a dot («now», the step the project is on), a half circle («started») or an empty circle («ahead»). AURA works out the state by itself from what is already done in the project.
- Under the step name there is one line «What is there so far: …» with a summary, for example «board: 24 cards, 2 palettes». If the step holds nothing yet, the line says «There is nothing in this step yet. Start with “Idea board”» and names the first card.
- Below are the cards of the step's tools. Each card has a name, a state in words and numbers, and one button with an action: «Create board», «Open floor plan», «Open tasks». On a phone a card is a row: it has no button label, and a tap on the row does the same action. The card that AURA named as the next thing to do in the project is marked «Next up».
- The button opens the tool as a page of its own. The «Idea board», the floor plan editor, «Hall in 3D», the «Estimate» and the presentation take the whole screen, the rest open inside the project page. At the top the «Back to the step» link (inside the project page with the step name, for example «Back to the step “Look”») brings you back to the step page; on the «Idea board» it is called «Back to the project».
- At the bottom of the page the link «Next: “Preparation”» leads to the next step. On a phone the row of steps is folded into one line «Step 3 of 5: Space»: click it and choose another step.
The «Idea» step
The «Idea board» card says how many cards and palettes the board holds. «Create board» or «Open board» opens it full screen; if the board is not available to you, there is no card.
The «Date and venue» card shows the date, the venue and the number of guests from the event brief. «Fill in the event details» (or «Edit» if there is a date already) opens the «Event brief» on the «Overview» straight in edit mode.
The «Look» step
The «Visualizations» card shows how many shots are ready and how many are being made. The «New visualization» button opens the creation for this project right away; if you have a wallet, the price is written on the button. When the balance is not enough, the card says «You need …, you have …» and the button turns into «Top up the wallet». If you may not start generations (you are a reader or a commenter), it is «Open visualizations» instead.
The «Main visualization» card appears once there is a ready shot: «Choose the main one» or «Change». The main one goes on the presentation cover and into the project card. An editor also has «From saved» (venues and shots from «My templates») and «Floristry collage» (flowers on a photo of the hall); if the collage is not open to you, there is no such card.
The «Space» step
Four cards. «Floor plan» says how many tables and seats the plan has («6 tables, 60 seats»); the button «Create a floor plan», «Place the tables» or «Open floor plan» leads to the editor, and if there are several plans, the «Other plans» link shows them all. «Guest seating» says «Seated 48 of 60», and the «Seat the guests» button opens the same plan; for a buffet it says «Buffet: no seating needed». On a phone the cards have no button labels and no «Other plans» link: the whole row is tapped and does the same as the button, and all the plans are collected on the «Floor plans» page.
«Hall in 3D» is built from the saved plan: until there is a plan with tables, the card says «A plan with tables is needed» with a «Create a floor plan» button, and afterwards «Open the hall in 3D». «Items in 3D» shows how many models the project has; «Add an item» or «Open» leads to them. The «Hall in 3D» and «Items in 3D» cards are absent if these sections are not open to you.
If the next thing to do in the project lies in this step, a big «What's next» card with «Later» stands above the cards, and the cards carry no «Next up» badge. The «What is there so far» line here speaks about the plan, the seating and whether you have opened the hall in 3D.
The «Preparation» step
«Tasks» shows how many tasks are open and whether any are overdue: «Overdue: 2». The button «Add a task», «Open tasks» or «Close the overdue ones» opens the project's task list.
«Estimate» says how many lines it has and how much furniture from the plan did not get into the estimate; the buttons «Make an estimate», «Move the furniture from the plan» and «Open the estimate» open the estimate full screen. «Client brief» shows whether it is filled in and sent to the client; the button is «Open brief». «Schedule» says how many stages it has; the button is «Make a run sheet» or «Open the run sheet». «Documents» opens the texts, concepts, instructions and files of the project.
A commenter and a reader are left with «Documents» (only «Project documents»), and «Tasks» appears once they are invited to the project's task list.
The «For the client» step
«Presentation» shows the number of slides; «Create presentation» or «Open the presentation» opens the editor. «Client review» says where it stands: «Not sent», «Sent to the client, waiting for an answer», «Client remarks: 1» or «The client approved»; the buttons «Send for approval», «Open the remarks» and «Open the review» lead to the review page.
«Client in the project» says whether the client is invited; whoever can edit the project sees it. While there is no client, the owner clicks «Invite the client»: the panel of the client's invitation opens with the «Client's email» field. In other cases the button is called «Team and access»: the panel with the members' permissions opens.
Good to know
- The «Show the client» button at the top of the project leads to the «Presentation», or, if your email does not have it, to the «Client review» page. The «For the client» step gathers the same tools and the client invitation on one page.
- A reader and a commenter do not get action buttons such as «Create board» and «New visualization»: the cards lead to viewing, and the «View only» badge stands at the top. A step where no tool is open to you is not shown in the row.
- A client who has only chosen shots open does not see the project page: the «Client review» opens for them.
- Old links to the project tabs (floor plan, tasks, documents, presentation) keep working: they open the same tool in its step.
If it does not work
If the step page says «Could not load the state of the project.», click «Retry»: the cards appear once AURA has read the project. Until the state has loaded the cards are not shown, so as not to write «nothing there» about what is already done.
If the card you need is missing, your role keeps it closed, or the section is not enabled for you (for example «Hall in 3D» or presentations). Ask the project owner to give you editor access, and ask support about enabling sections.
