The ready visualization: checking, retouching, downloading and showing it to the client
A ready visualization opens on the whole page: the picture with its variants on the left, «What's next» with the «Retouch an area» button and the «Do more with this» menu on the right, «Download» and «Show the client» at the top, and the check, the discussion and what it is made of are folded into «Details».
Reviewed:
How to use it
- Open the visualization from the «Visualizations» list or from a project (the «Look» step); after «Create» it opens by itself. The page takes the whole screen: at the top are the «Back to the project» arrow (outside a project «Back to visualizations»), the name, the «Aura Guide» icon, «Download», «Show the client» and the «⋯» menu.
- The picture is on the left. Above it is the switch «Visualization», «Before and after» (a comparison with the original venue photo, the divider moves with a mouse, a finger or the arrow keys) and «Compare» if there is more than one ready variant. The keys 1, 2 and 3 switch between them. Under the picture is the strip of variants: click a thumbnail or use the left and right arrow keys.
- Check marks stand over the picture, for example «Checked» or «Similarity not checked». Click a mark to open «Details» with the breakdown, and check the products, the quantities, the supports, the perspective and the arrangement. On a phone the marks stand in a row under the picture so they do not cover it. The variant tabs go in the order of their numbers.
- To fix an area, click «Retouch an area» in the «What's next» block on the right (the R key; on a phone the «Retouch» button at the bottom of the screen). The original variant stays as a separate one (the article «Retouch an area»).
- To show the same hall from another point or to make a separate picture of one table with its tableware and place settings, press a button under «Retouch an area»: «Change the angle» or «Presentation set». The «Edit this shot» panel opens under the picture right on the needed tab. On the «Angle» tab choose a ready angle or describe the point of view in words. On the «Presentation set» tab select one whole table and choose the «Card background», then press «Create set card». On a phone these buttons are in «More», in the «Retouch» section. The price is the same as for «Retouch an area», and the original variant stays.
- Two more buttons sit next to them. «Expand the shot» draws the venue beyond the edges of the shot: wider, taller, all around or as a 21:9 panorama, the original part does not change (the «Expand the shot» section of the «Retouch an area» article). «Presentation style» redraws the same picture as a line drawing (outlines only), a pencil sketch, watercolour, markers or an illustration: the composition and the items stay, and it is paid like a regular edit (the «Retouch an area» article, the «Presentation style» section). «Touch up by hand» opens a free editor with «Restore with the brush» and «Finger»: it removes a small extra detail without a generation, and the edit is saved as a new variant (the «Touch up by hand» section of the same article). On a phone both are in «More» too, in the «Retouch» section.
- «Download» (the D key) offers two files: «For a screen and messengers» and «For print, twice as large». The second one is downloaded free of charge, nothing is charged.
- «Show the client» (the button at the top, on a phone at the bottom) opens a window: enter «Client's email», mark «Options for the client» and click «Create a link for the client». The client signs in with their own email and can approve variants or write what to fix, while the sources, the board and the team's discussions stay inside the project. «Copy link» copies the link, «Revoke link» closes it.
- Everything else is in the «Do more with this» menu on the right (on the page the same list is in «⋯» at the top, on a phone in «More»): «Make it the main one» (the variant opens first and becomes the cover of the project, available when there are several variants), «To the presentation», «To the board», «Seat the guests» (if the order has tables), «Request rental», «Publish to the AURA Gallery», «Save the venue», «Create another one» and «Create again». What is not available to you is not shown in the menu.
Check against the order and a natural look
Before showing the visualization, AURA itself recounts every position of the order on it, checks the products and the shape of the tables against the catalog and looks for anything extra. If everything matches, a mark such as «Checked: 6 tables, 36 chairs» stands over the picture, and you do not need to count by hand.
If the visualization did not match the order, AURA creates it again once with a hint of what to fix. If the repeat did not match either, «Not everything matches the order» and lines like «…: 30 of 36 in the frame» appear in «Details» under «Check». Click «Retouch an area» or «Create again», or check the set of products before sending a request.
Your wishes from the «Describe it in words» field, for example «white flowers and candles on the tables», are drawn on the image both in the «I'll build it» mode and in the «I'll describe it» mode. The check does not count them as extra.
After the check every visualization goes through a photographic finish so that the furniture does not look pasted on: reflections in the floor, shadows where the legs touch the floor, and the light of the venue itself. The finished variant stays only if a repeat check confirms that the products and their quantities have not changed; otherwise you get the variant from before the finish.
Good to know
- The shown visualization has already been checked against the order but may still be improved: while a line over the picture says the first variant is ready and is being checked and improved, you can download it right now. The improved variant replaces the shown one only if its own check is no worse.
- The warning «Scheme not applied» means the plan was not used. Upload a readable plan or sketch and repeat the scenario you need.
- Checking a visualization and the client's approval are not the same thing: a confirmed quality does not mean the client's approval.
- Results are private by default. Publishing to the «AURA Gallery» is different from access for a specific project member: the «Publish to the AURA Gallery» window says who will see the visualization.
- «Details» under the picture are folded, and next to the name are listed «Check», «Discussion» and «What it is made of». Inside are «Check» (notes and marks), «Discussion» (the team's comments on the variant, if the visualization is in a project), «What it is made of» (the venue, the style, the products with quantities and the options) and «Name and project» (the name, tags and moving to a project).
- The owner of a visualization outside a project can click «Create again»: in the «Regeneration» window describe what to change, and the new variants replace the current ones. In a project a visualization is changed through «Retouch an area», and a new one is created with «Create another one». A project client sees only the visualizations that were opened to them.
- To put a visualization into a project, open «Details» → «Project» and click «Move to a project»: choose a project or click «Create a project with this visualization», enter «Name of the new project» and click «Create the project and move». All variants of this generation end up in the project. If you only have view or comment access, the bottom of the page says «You can read» or «You can comment».
Saving your work on the phone
In the mobile app, below the actions of a finished result you can save the venue scene to your personal Saved work. The photo, sizes and the accepted plan will be useful in another project. The owner of an approved frame of a set can save the PNG card separately.
- The venue scene and the set card save different sources. Before applying a scene, the app saves the current draft. Saving does not publish the material.
