Material certificates: upload, link to the price list, attach to a quote
The «Certificates» page in the left column of «Production»: the studio's material certificate files (PDF or photo) with their number, validity and materials from the price list. An order finds the certificates of its estimate and purchase materials by itself and shows which are missing, and «Send quote» attaches them with a checkbox: the client downloads the files by the quote's link. Available in beta.

How to add a certificate
- Choose «Production» and «Certificates» on the left. On a phone, pick the section in the «Section» list above the page.
- Click «Add certificate». In the «New certificate» window click «Choose file» and pick a PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MB. The name is taken from the file name, and you can change it.
- Enter the number, the issuer and the validity: «Effective from» and «Valid until». An empty «Valid until» means the certificate has no end date.
- In «Materials from the price list» start typing a material's name and pick it from the list. You can pick several materials: one fire certificate often covers both MDF and plywood.
- Click «Save». The certificate appears in the list marked «Valid», «Expires in N d.» or «Expired».
- You can replace the file later with «Replace file» on the certificate's card, and «Open the file» shows it in a new tab.
- A certificate without a file is kept, but it cannot be attached to a quote: its card says «No file: it cannot be attached to a quote».
Linking to price list materials
A certificate is linked to a material's code in «Price list and norms», not to its version. When you change the material's price or issue a new norm version, the certificate stays in place.
The card of a material on the «Materials» tab of «Price list and norms» has a «Certificates of the material» block: it shows which certificates cover the material and whether they are valid. The «Add certificate» link opens «Certificates» with this material already chosen in a new certificate.
Works and rates need no certificates: they are not in the list of materials.
Validity
- «Valid»: more than 30 days are left, or there is no end date.
- «Expires in N d.»: 30 days or fewer are left. A good time to ask the supplier for a new certificate.
- «Expired»: the date has passed. The certificate stays in the list and orders show it with a mark, but a quote does not tick it by itself.
- The list goes from the nearest end date, certificates without an end date last. The switch above the list shows «All», «Valid», «Expiring» and «Expired», and the search looks in the name, the number and the issuer.
Certificates in an order
The order's «Overview» has a «Material certificates» block. The order collects the materials of the estimate rows priced by the price list and of the products' purchase, and finds the studio's certificates for them.
Folded, the block says how many materials there are and how many have no certificate or only an expired one. Unfolded, it shows each material: click a certificate's name to open the file. A «no certificate» line tells you what to add before sending the quote.
If the estimate has no materials from the price list yet, the block says so. Rows typed by hand without a price list material do not pick up certificates.
Certificates in a quote
- Open the order, the «Quote» tool, and click «Send quote».
- The «Material certificates» block has the «Attach certificates (N)» checkbox. Valid certificates with a file are ticked by themselves, expired ones are not, and a certificate without a file cannot be chosen.
- Untick the ones you do not need, or tick an expired one if the client asked for it. On the right you see how the client will see the list of certificates.
- Click «Send quote». The client sees a «Certificates» part in the quote and downloads each file by the quote's link, and the PDF has the list of certificates with their numbers and dates.
- The quote's link opens only the certificates attached to this quote. The client does not see the studio's other certificates.
- The list of certificates is frozen with the quote. If you delete a certificate, the sent quote keeps its line, but the file can no longer be downloaded.
Certificates and «Documents»
- «Documents» are texts with an editor: the client estimate, a contract, notes. They are shared by Design and Production.
- «Certificates» are files with a validity, linked to price list materials. Orders find them and a quote attaches them.
Beta
- «Certificates» are part of professional-level production and are open to studios with the products key. The studio owner keeps the list, and the members of an order see the certificates of its materials.
- Noticed a mistake or something missing? Click «Beta feedback»: the AURA team will see it.
Frequently asked questions
- Why does the order say «no certificate» though the certificate is uploaded? The certificate is not linked to this material. Open it with «Edit» and choose the material in «Materials from the price list».
- Why can't I tick a certificate in «Send quote»? It has no file. Upload the file on the «Certificates» page.
- Which files will do? PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MB. Compress a large scan or upload it page by page.
