The control pad, the chats bar and background tasks

Three helpers at the bottom of the screen on any page. «Control pad» gathers the buttons for quick jumps: project, board, floor plan, 3D models, visualizations, chats, and you can add your own. The «Chats» bar is always at hand and opens the list of your conversations. The «Background tasks» window shows long generations and 3D builds and tells you when the result is ready, even if you are on another page or tab.

Control pad: quick jumps

In the bottom left corner of every page there is a «Control pad» button. AURA has more and more sections and it is easy to get lost in the menu: press «Control pad» and the jump buttons appear. There is no control pad on the board or in tools that fill the whole screen: they have a panel of their own.

  1. Press «Control pad» at the bottom left. Two groups of buttons unfold: «This project» (the project page, board, floor plan, 3D models, visualizations, project chats) and «Quick jumps» (My projects, Chats).
  2. Press a button and the section opens. The button of the section you are in is highlighted. «Chats» opens the window with the list of chats and does not take you off the page.
  3. The «This project» group belongs to the project that is open now, or to the last one you opened if you have gone from the project to another page. Until you have opened any project, a hint stands in place of the group.
  4. The control pad closes with «×», the Esc key, a press elsewhere and a move to another page.
  • The control pad starts and charges nothing: «New visualization» only opens the wizard, and you confirm payment there as usual. The «Board» and «3D scene» buttons are visible when that section is open to your account.
  • On a phone there is no control pad and no «Chats» bar: they covered the buttons of the page. The bottom bar of the site does the jumps, and the chats open from the icon in the header.

Your own control pad buttons

  1. Open the control pad and press «Customize».
  2. Mark the buttons you need: project sections («New visualization», «Tasks», «Documents», «3D scene» if it is open to you) and places («Library», «Wallet», «Create visualization»). Press a marked button again and it is removed. New buttons go to the end.
  3. «Done» returns to the buttons. «Reset» brings back the default set: the project page, board, floor plan, 3D models, visualizations, project chats, My projects and Chats.
  • The choice is remembered on this device for your account. On another device or in another browser you will have to put the set together again.

The «Chats» bar at the bottom right

While no chat is open or minimized, the bottom right corner holds a «Chats» bar with the number of chats with unread messages. It is on every page so that you get used to it: go to the bottom for conversations.

  1. Press the «Chats» bar: a window opens with the list of all your chats on the left. Pick a chat and it opens to the right of the list (the «The chat window» section of the Chats article).
  2. If the bar is in the way, press «×» on it («Hide the chats bar»). The choice is remembered on this device.
  3. You can bring the bar back in the control pad: «Customize», then «Show the chats bar».
  • When a chat is minimized, the bar of that chat stands in place of the «Chats» bar. The bar is not on the board, on client approval pages and on the «Chats» page itself.

Background tasks: is the frame ready

Generations and 3D builds take a long time, and you can go to another page or tab. The «Background tasks» window in the bottom left corner shows what AURA is doing for you and opens by itself when a result is ready.

  1. While something is running, a window «Tasks in progress: 2» appears above the control pad. It shows what the task is (a visualization, a 3D model from a photo, a video tour, a hall scan), which project it is from and how much is done. On the «Control pad» button the number of tasks in progress stands beside the word.
  2. When a task is ready, the window unfolds and says «Ready». Press the task and the result opens: the frame page, the project's 3D models or the project's 3D scene.
  3. If the AURA tab was in the background, a ✅ mark appears before its title, and the browser shows a notification if you have allowed notifications for chats. Return to the tab and the mark disappears.
  4. The arrow folds the list into one line, «×» removes finished tasks. Whether it is folded or open is remembered on this device.
  • The window shows your tasks only. Finished ones stay in the list for 15 minutes. The window starts and charges nothing: payment and repeats stay where you started the task.
  • The window is not on the «Chats» page and while a chat window is open, so it does not cover the conversation.
