Sticky notes and text: add and start typing

How to use it

1. Click «Sticker» or «Text» on the toolbar on the left. On a phone, these tools are in the bottom bar. On a keyboard, N and T work when the cursor is not in an input field.
2. The new note appears with its field active. On a phone and when zoomed far out, the board zooms in to a comfortable size. Write a wish, a heading or a question.
3. Click «Ready», press Esc or click an empty spot to finish typing. To change finished text, double-click the note.
4. Drag a note by an empty part of the card. Color, size and other settings change once the object is selected.
5. If a note was added by accident, finish typing and click «Undo» or press Ctrl/⌘ + Z.

Font

1. Select a sticky note, a text, a shape, an icon, a table, a task, an answer card or an idea map. On the dark bar over the selection, press «Font»: in the menu every name is written in its own font.
2. Choose a font. The list has eight fonts with Cyrillic: Manrope (the default), Tenor Sans marked «AURA brand», PT Serif, Cormorant Garamond, Playfair Display, Montserrat, Caveat and Unbounded. JetBrains Mono comes last; it is kept for cards already set in it.
3. With several cards selected, the font changes on all of them at once, and «Undo» brings the previous fonts back in one step. Locked cards do not change. The «Font» button shows the current font or «Mixed fonts».
4. To upload your own font, at the bottom of the «Studio fonts» section of the same menu choose «Upload a font…», pick the file, tick «I have the right to use this font» and press «Upload». The font is applied to the selected cards right away.
5. Your own fonts are gathered in «Idea boards», in the «Studio fonts» block under the list of boards: every name is shown in its own font, and there you can upload a new font and remove one you no longer need.
6. On a phone, open the object menu (a long press or «More») and choose the font in the «Font» field. In the «Properties» panel the font is chosen the same way, and an idea map can have a font for the whole map and for a single topic.

• TTF, OTF, WOFF and WOFF2 files up to 5 MB will do. The font must include Russian Cyrillic, otherwise AURA does not accept it. A studio keeps up to 10 of its own fonts. Upload only fonts you are allowed to use: for example, free ones under the OFL license or ones bought with a license.
• Your own font belongs to the studio of the board's owner. Every participant of the board sees it and can choose it for cards, while only the owner can upload or remove a font.
• A removed font leaves the menu, but cards already set in it keep it.
• If a font file did not load (for example, without a connection), the text is shown in Manrope and redrawn once the file loads.
• The chosen fonts, your own included, are kept in a frame's PDF and PNG. Presentation fonts are set separately, in «Brand style».

Good to know

• While you type, the keys work on the text. To delete the whole object, finish editing first and select the card.
• Your input is saved when you leave the field. Then wait for the «Saved» status.
• A sticky note does not start a generation by itself. For a wish to be part of a concept, use the object settings and a frame.

If it does not work

If a note is not visible, choose «⋯» → «Fit everything» and check the zoom. If you cannot type, check your editing permission and whether the presenting mode is on.

Cards in the mobile editor

The text, color and font of a card are changed in the bottom form. Tables and checklists keep empty rows and ticks. A task card on the board describes an idea and does not create a task in the work list by itself.
