How to use it

  1. In the bottom right corner of the canvas are the minimap and the zoom: the − and + buttons change the zoom, clicking the percentage fits all objects into the screen (Shift+1), and «Fit everything» in the «⋯» menu does the same. The map icon next to it shows or hides the minimap; clicking or dragging on the minimap moves the view. The exact percentage is entered in «⋯» → «Board settings», in the «Zoom, %» field.
  2. Click an object to select it. To work with several objects, use selection on the canvas and the bar above it; alignment is in the «Align» menu.
  3. If a special mode is on, press Esc to return to selection. «Hand» (H or holding Space) moves the canvas with the mouse. While editing text, finish typing first.
  4. «Undo» and «Redo» are in the bottom left corner (Ctrl/⌘ + Z and Ctrl/⌘ + Shift + Z), on a phone in the top bar. Next to them is the «?» button: it opens «Help and keys» with a short hint and the links «All keys» and «Details» (the article); the list of commands is also opened by the ? key. Aura Guide opens on the board with its own icon on the right of the top bar.
  5. Before leaving, check the status next to the board name: «Saving…», «Saved», «Could not save» or «Version conflict». If there is an error, a «Retry» button appears next to it.

Good to know

  • If saving fails, click «Retry» and check your connection. Do not consider the changes saved until the status confirms it.
  • In a version conflict, read the message and make a deliberate choice between keeping your changes and accepting the other member's changes.
  • The minimap shows where the content is. On a phone, zooming and the camera are adapted to the small screen.

Canvas view on the phone

On the canvas, open «Canvas view». Choose waves, dots or a surface without a pattern. The background is saved for you on this device and is not included in the export.

The position and zoom are saved separately for each project. When you come back, the board opens in the same place. The button that shows the whole board lets you see all cards again.
