How to use it

  1. Open «Widget on your site» and click «New site».
  2. Enter a name and the allowed addresses: https://domain without a path. For local debugging, localhost over HTTP is allowed.
  3. Set up how the name, photo and price are extracted if the standard recognition does not fit. Check the CSS selectors on your own page.
  4. If you do not want to send product prices and descriptions to AURA, tick «Do not collect product prices and descriptions». The widget will then send only the name, the photo and the product page address.
  5. Copy the ready code and add it to the product page template before the closing body tag.
  6. Test the widget on an allowed site. Appearance and placement are changed in the settings; «Switch the site off» disables the key.

What to keep in mind

  • The key works only on the listed addresses. A product page with a path is not a domain address for the allow list.
  • Creating a site in AURA does not install the code on the external website: the owner or a developer has to insert it.
  • After editing the settings, click «Save». Switching a site off does not require removing the code, but the widget stops responding.
  • The site card shows in the «Product data» block what the widget sends to AURA. If you turn off price and description collection on a working site, the prices and descriptions already received are deleted after saving, and visitors will not see prices in the panel or in their account.
  • The widget does not collect visitors' names, phone numbers or emails. The site owner sees only counters: how many items were captured, how many lists were built and how many went to AURA.
  • A visitor's anonymous list is kept for 30 days after the last addition and is then deleted automatically. An item that nobody has added for 180 days and that is in no list and no visualization is deleted too; the next click on the product page adds it again.

Setting up the widget from the phone

In the mobile app, open «More» → «Profile», then «Widget on my website». Here you can set the sites, allowed addresses, card fields, buttons for computer and phone, and the rules for showing it on pages. The preview helps to check the look. The code on an external site is installed by its owner or developer.

Turning off the collection of price and description also deletes the values collected earlier, so the app asks you to confirm this action. Switching off the key stops the widget, and the saved lists stay. If the result of creating a site is unknown, refresh the list first and find the site that was already created.
